Wisconsin Trout fishing

Question:
I'm relatively new to trout fishing in this state. I'd like to try for trout in lakes (not streams/rivers) in the NW part of the state. Can anyone give me some tips/locations for trout in Barron/Rusk/Chippewa/Washburn counties?

Answer:
If you have a WI fishing license and bought a trout stamp, you should have received a pamphlet that shows all the trout streams in WI. Some drain into lakes. Take a look at it. It is broken down pretty well on a county-by-county basis. If nothing else, you always have Lake Superior and Lake Michigan. You will need a trout stamp. WI sells two of them. One for inland trout, the other for the Great Lakes.
