I've got into a discussion on a local (New Zealand) website about hunting
and repeated an assertion I read somewhere in the American hunting press viz
that there are today more deer in the USA than ever before. Now some smart
a**e has come back and asked me for references and I don't have any to hand.

thats pretty easy. each state has a projected forecast JUST FOR HARVESTED
DEER on their wildlife organization page. now dont forget the does and
fawns. its hard to come up with a number but imagine how many get away or
just arent seen. we are in the millions. new york is flooded with them
