Question: I'm wondering what weight would be good for doing this with a fly fishing
rod? 8-9wt? The line would need to sink fast. Is anyone fishing this now?
Answer: I was well advised to bring nine weights in a similar situation, and I'm
definitely glad I complied. I got dragged around by salmon and steelhead
plenty well enough as it was, so I certainly wouldn't go any lighter
