Question:
Does anyone have recommendations on a boat blind for waterfowl hunting? I
have a 17' Grizzly Tracker boat.
Answer:
I helped my hunting buddy build a blind for his 16' Fischer. It is not
really all that much different than hunting from shore. For the most
part, we pull up to where we want to hunt, throw out the decoys, set the
boat and hunt.
We do, however, feel that this gives us an edge because we are mobile.
You get the comforts of a permanent shore blind with the mobility of
packing in. Most of the huntable land/lakes are public, so a permanent
blind is not allowed. We can go where the birds are. The boat probably
saw about 1500-2000 miles on the trailer this season.
