Question:
I know that for a lot of the backwoods types, a primitive
bow is just one fact of a primitive lifestyle (or at least
hobby-style!). But I've read very little
about a resurgance in TARGET shooting with primitive
equipment.
Anybody out there made bows
specifically for target shooting?

I'm with you 100%. I don't hunt, not because I have anything against
it, just something I'm not interested in. However, I'm very interested
in target archery and only with primitive equipment. I just bought The
Traditional Bowyer's Bible Vol.2 (the bookstore didn't have volume 1 but
vol. 2 refers to it so often that I need it), and I want to make a
selfbow from a lumber yard board. I'd like to end up with about a 40#
bow when finished. Haven't had much luck locating a good board yet.
But I'm going to keep looking. I'm also interested in making my own
arrows
