Smallmouth Bass Fishing

Question:
That's funny--I have often been surprised by small, vigorous, brightly colored fish which have taken my flies in the upper elevations while fishing for smallmouth. These fish are actually quite fun though they have poor stamina and tend to strike weakly. The gaudy colors are interesting but mark them as a semi-serious fish--everyone knows that true gamefish are shades of brown and bronze.
