New to Fly Fishing

My wife and I are new to Fly Fishing and their seems to be alot to learn like selecting the right gear. We mainly plan on fishing Rivers, streams and small ponds. I would appreciate any advice or oppinions on the right set up for our needs. What length rod would serve us the best for our intended fishing waters, what size line and leader?
