Do any of you know a good source of information about deer hunting in
Ontario, such as public lands, deer densities, the best areas for finding
mature bucks, etc? I didn't find much searching on the internet

I am doing my research for a few months and still don't
know where I'll hunt.
You can get (buy) maps showing crown land from MNR
offices. I got one from Parry Sound and one from Bancroft.
There's very little (read - none) crown land in southern
ON. If you're interested in a very specific area call
local MNR office and talk to a wildlife biologist.
They have some harvest stats.
If you were interested in antlersless deer the deadline
for the draw was July 31.
You still can make it for Controlled deer hunt, most of
it is any deer. Deadline is August 31. But the problem again is land to
hunt.
Controlled hunt takes place in densly populated areas
and guess what - it's all private lan
