I thinking about buying a Mathews Q2 bow for target shooting .
Also to do some field target .
Answer:
I am an owner of a Mathew's Q2XL and use it weekly for membership in a
very active 3D AAA here in Australia. We use paper targets....... and foam
animal targets. Shots range between 15 metres and 50 metres.(16.6.....54.7
feet) I've used a hunting bow setup for this for quit awhile. Once I setup
the Mathews, my skill of shooting took quick leaps instantly. Shooting a
carbon arrow weighing at just over 5 grain per pound of draw has been
attaining speeds of close to 300 feet/sec. I use a 4 pin hunting sight and
the pins are as close together as you possibly get them. Mathews seems to be
the leader in bow technology and has been for 5 years or so. I have never
shot as accurately or had a bow as quiet and smooth. Friends I hunt with are
now taking shots in hunting at distances of 40-50 metres. It only takes a
quick look at the preferred equipment of 80-90 percent of the worlds best
target archers and 3D shooters to realise that Mathews must be a leader.
