Wondering if anyone has some ideas on inexpensive way to build a box type
deer blind. Is plywood and 2x4's still the best way to go

I wouldn't build a "box type" blind at all. Best blinds I have EVER
used are ones made of the fallen trees and branches in the IMMEDIATE
local. Drag up some stuff around a good sized tree in the area you
scouted the deer and you will be all set. I found the deer are MUCH
less nervous around a "natural" blind than they are around a man-made
material blind.
