rec.outdoors.fishing.fly.tying

Question:
On a previous computer, before the GREAT CRASH, I was able to subscribe to "rec.outdoors.fishing.fly.tying ". Now, there is no such website on my MSN server(Outlook Express), but "rec.outdoors.fishing.fly", this website, is. I have twice "downloaded " the ng.'s but still cannot find it. Any suggestions on how I might be able to subscribe to ".....tying"?

Answer:
it is possible that your server no longer carries the group. Ring or e-mail your ISP and ask them. Many servers do not carry all the groups. It may also be necessary to purge your computer of all Outlook Express files, and re-install the whole lot. There are one or two very odd things which happen to Outlook express when it crashes, which it occasionally does. You might also try downloading the latest version from MS. Since I downloaded Explorer 5.0 with all the bells and whistles( includes OE and a lot of other more or less useful stuff ), I have had far fewer problems. Also, when you are asked to type in the names of the groups you wish to subscribe to, type in the complete name, or type in "list all groups containing the word "fish" for instance, then highlight the ones you wish to subscribe too, and hit return. In newer versions the group name is broken off at "rec.outdoors.fishing.fly" and both groups thus have the same description in the list. Make sure you highlight both !!!! You can always delete the one you dont want afterwards.
