Question:
There are some, one might even say excellent Outdoor shows on TV.
Do any of you out there have a favorite Hunting and or Fishing show ?
Answer:
I used to watch them all, but I've gotten pickier of late. The shows I
really like are (in no particular order):
Adventure Bound Outdoors
Ted Nuget's Spirit of the Wild
Eastman's Hunting Journal (the best photography of any show - ever)
any show with duck or goose hunting....
Primos Truth About Hunting (except the turkey shows)
Keith Warren's Chevy Sportsman (usually)
Shows I *don't* like:
anything with Jackie Bushman (what he calls a trophy is just silly)
turkey hunting shows (once in a while is ok, but come on, they
are WAY over done)
Fwiw, I think more shows ought to feature a
* contest winner
* a 'celebrity' of some sort
Having the celebrity hunter was one of the things I really enjoyed about
_The American Sportsman_ (the one back in the 60's & 70's growing up -
not the lame one they have now). You could even put them together.
Both are preferable to the same old tired "this is our pro staffer on
yet another hunt you can't do because it's too expensive".
