Question:
Does anyone have any info. or experience baiting and hunting coyotes?I
live in NH. Came across a deer carcass scattered over 10yrds in Sept.
Then while deer hunting in Hillsborough county (nh) had a coyote sneek up
behind me within 15 yrds, while using a doe bleet call. We each got quite a
surprise when I moved from my seat. The deer seem to be pressured early in
the season this year. Is it due to coyotes? Would like to bait and shoot several of these
nusiences this winter. Any tips?
Answer:
You can use any kind of dead junk animal for bait. they'll typically
come in and raid it at night so you'll have to pinpoint when they're
coming. From what i know, the coyotes and deer thing is a fallasy.
maybe they get the sick and weak but they normally don't have any
significant effect on deer. weather, food, cars, man, etc. have a much
greater effect.
