I am from the panhandle of texas, so i can give you some tips on
pheasant hunting.
Answer:
I use the Wildlife Management Areas maintained by the State of Texas
to hunt on. The Type 2 permit (open hunting on designated public land)
costs $35 and Type 1 hunts are available through drawings. Contact the
nearest Parks and Wildlife office for information. Their addresses are in
the back of the hunting regulations.
I have found that I can't afford a lease but I have lots of friends who
leas down in the Llano area and are very satisfied. I don't have any
specifics but the area is full of deer.
