Question:
Can someone give me pointers on where to start? I've looked at public
hunting but worry about not "knowing" which guns are on a property. I don't
expect folks to give me stuff for free... and I'm willing to pay my share or
work some land in exchange for a deal... and I'm not expecting a
"rambo-like" hunt. Any hunters out there looking for another person to
contribute to their hunting party?
Answer:
While I'm sure there are loads of JP's and GW's in south texas that would
love to discuss my hunting choices and experiences with me, especially those
ROW kills I could most adduredly obtain (and crossing fences to boot!), I
doubt that the outcome would be to my liking. Instead of paying hunting
lease fees, I'd be funding the south texas court and law enforcement system.
And I'm just not ready to go hunting on public lands with guns firing at who knows what from who knows where...
