Question:
am moving back to Ohio in 2 weeks. How was the season this year? Do they
still have restrictions on certain areas for those snowshoe hare
reintroductions?
Answer:
check out ODNR's website for the report, I think this season was the third best
on record not sure about teh snowshoe hare restrictions other than you can't shoot
them.....the area is somewhat tiny and well defined and should be easy to avoid
trouble problem in NE Ohio and teh rest of Ohio is that there is damn little public
hunting available, some great private places though if you acquire permission,
good luck....you are also close to PA and that is a different story, alot of
friends here hunt there as non-residents, it is about the same cost as hunting
in Ohio with all the stamps and licenses (which will go up in February)
