Question: I am going to the Balck Canyon of the Gunnison in early August.
Anyone fished there recently, or have any reports?
Answer: A report from a member of our local fly fishing club said the action on
the Gunnison was down because of whirling disease. The number of
rainbows is way down but the browns are OK because they are not
effected. Sorry for the report but fishing the Black Canyon involves a
LOT of work (hiking up and down steep trails) and money. Check out with
someone you trust.
