Question: thought one took my fly, I went to set the hook, felt a bump then the
carp spun around and high tailed it out of there. My son says he read
somewhere that you should let them take your fly for a couple seconds before
setting . . . comments ??
Answer: You might want to take a look at a book called "Carp on a fly" by Barry
Reynolds. It has a lot of information about fly fishing for carp. I have
also heard them called the freshwater bonefish.
