Bass Fishing in August --- too late

Question:
I'm interested in bass fishing in notheastern U.S. or southeastern Canada in August. Does anyone have any opinion as to whether that is a good time. Is it too late in the year?

Answer:
The bass fishing is great on the St. Lawrence River/1000 Islands in Aug. I have won the last 2 Red Man tournaments here with 5 fish limits of 18.2 and 16.5 lbs.My experience in the NYC reservoirs is that September is the absolute worse "warm weather" month for fishing for any species, including bass. your maybe September is like my October, water-wise
