Question:
Will this affect the flight of the arrow dramatically?
Answer:
Having been an alpine dealer for yearrrrrrrs I can assure you that you
bought a quality piece of equipment. But if the bow is a peak 30 pound the
only way to get 40 pounds out of it will be to change out the limbs. If it
is a 40 pound set at 30 then all you have to do is screw in the limb bolts
to max to get 40 out of it. The best bar non arrow rest for that bow (since
the center is not real wide) is a huntmaster style. In other words a single
prong with a plunger. This will give you all the feather or vane clearance
that you need and will work great as either a target or hunting rest. It is
specifically made for finger shooters but works real smooth for release
shooters also. I set my grandson up in the same model and he used the tiger
tuff single prong and shoots 1713 aluminum shafts. He is up to 35 pounds now
and can hunt this season here in Georgia.
