Question:
what accessories should I buy?
Answer:
Your 1st stop is your local archery shop to find out how to fit a bow to
your size. Once you know this, you can check pawn shops, newspaper ads, etc
for used bows. After you get the bow, make sure your arrows are the right
spine (stiffness) for the bow. If they're not, you will have no end to your
frustrations getting them to shoot straight.
A stabilizer is a rod-like gizmo that sticks out the front of the bow. It's
purpose is to dampen vibrations and balance the bow. Some types can be a
pain when hunting as they're heavy and always in the way. Some people swear
by them, others swear at them.
Get hold of "Bowhunters Digest, 3d edition" by Chuck Adams. He's easy to
read and has hundreds of tips on bow setup, techniques, etc.
