Ohio deer hunting

Question:
Do they still have restrictions on certain areas for those snowshoe hare reintroductions?

Answer:
You cannot shoot Snowshoe hares. I believe they were reintroduced in Geauga county in the snowbelt, near Middlefield (where my folks live, I live in GA). As for the season, I just got back on the 30th, so I was there for muzzleloader season. We were limited to 1 deer this year outside of the urban zones. I shot a little buck on the opening day of muzzleloader season at about 10 yards, standing broadside at the Fritz Neubauer Fur, Fish, and Game club, where I have hunted for years. If you are looking for a good private club, that is the place. He has a couple thousand acres of leased land and has created a pleothera of duck/goose hunting areas. The deer population is enormous, but you won't see many big bucks outside of bow season. And they release birds for upland game.
