Question: Can anyone give us some insight to what the avg buck is like around there?
Answer: I live about 25 miles south of Rolla. Depending on the land you should be able to get a pretty good buck. This means 8 to 12 points with a nicely formed rack. I've heard of 14-16
point bucks being killed during rifle season, but I sure wouldn't wait on one like that. An average buck would be 6-8 points. If you get a chance, go visit Aaron's Archery Shop west of Rolla.
